Valencia CF to play CD Castellón in preseason friendly
Valencia CF’s first preseason friendly for 2020/21 has been confirmed. The team will play CD Castellón on August 22nd, at the Antonio Puchades stadium at the Ciudad Deportiva. Kick-off is set for 7pm local time.The friendly will be broadcasted live on the website, app and also on GOL.
The game will be Javi Gracia’s debut in the dugout for VCF, having taken over earlier this summer.
CD Castellón are one of the newly promoted sides to LaLiga Smartbank, having made their way through the playoffs from Segunda B.
Valencia CF and CD Castellón have faced off almost 100 times, but most recently met back in 2013 in another friendly, won 1-5 by VCF away at the Nuevo Castilla. The last official game between the two teams was also an away fixture: A 1-3 win for Valencia CF in the Copa del Rey.
